FIBERNET Specifications
FIBERNET Fibers are the ultimate three-dimensional secondary reinforcement for your concrete work. These fibers will provide convenience and cost savings for your next project.
- FIBERNET Fibers are manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene
- FIBERNET Fibers meet or exceed ASTM-C1116 “Specification for Fiber Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete” guidelines
- Specify FIBERNET Fibers FIBRILLATED for maximum crack protection
- Specify FIBERNET Fibers MONOFILAMENT for a smoother finish
- FIBERNET Fibers are generally ¾” in length, but are available in other lengths if needed
- Specify 1.5 lbs. per cubic yard for fibrillated and 1 lb per cubic yard for monofilament for best results
- FIBERNET Fibers are test proven to substantially reduce shrinkage cracking and increase impact resistance in concrete
- FIBERNET Fibers reduce the slump of the concrete but DO NOT affect workability - DO NOT over water the concrete
- Mix for at least 5-7 minutes on high speed prior to pouring
- FIBERNET Fibers increase impact, abrasion and shatter resistance
- FIBERNET Fibers decrease water permeability
- All FIBERNET Fibers are UL Classified
- FIBERNET Fibers meet or exceed ICBO criteria in the following tests:
- Flexural Strength
- Compressive Strength
- Plastic Shrinkage Cracking
- Post Peak Flexural Strength
- Effect on Reinforcement Bond Strength
- Compatibility with Concrete
- Freeze/Thaw Test
